 The 2007 Nero d'Avola is made from the property's best fruit and is aged exclusively in stainless steel, which is somewhat of a departure from the norm. No matter, the approach clearly works. This is a gorgeous, full-bodied Nero d'Avola bursting with sweet dark cherries, menthol, sage and flowers. It offers notable clarity and elegance, something I can't say too often about the wines of Sicily. Simply put, this is an incredible value. Anticipated maturity: 2008-2011.
